ANOTHER succesful west coast mission!

call me a slut but me andrew raath is absolutly,madly inlove with our west coast... ivv ben getting ear perfection waves since thursday last week...
yesterday i went a bit further up the coast than normal to surf our own lil peace of paradise that u guys will never know of ;)
the left and right is pretty much amazing...
but today again i went and surfed a semi secret spot thats actualy not secret at all anymore..
but evryone is back at school so me and fowler got it alone and at its best ..4-6ft and 7ft on the bigger sets :) barreling across and just vomiting 24/7
....woth such kief as end sections as well so me and hm were just trading wave after wave :)

a little west coast trip!

welll yesterday we went not to far up the west coast 2 get some yummy barrels!!!
jason fowler was most prob the biggest stand out in the surf making barrels that looked impossible..
and i guess i had a few gooood 1s to ;)
today we went to the same place again accept we went with different people..
jason went with conner
and i went with simon "big red" heale ,who has just arrived back from a surf trip in oz..
hahha u can imagine how cold he found our water...
he didnt let it stop him though..
sadly the pictures from today didnt look to great "apparently"..
we got sum kief footage though ..
but the footage isnt mine its from melkbos bodyboarder piet who is making a movie..
im not ganna lie today i had most prob the deepest barrel of my life..they stopped shooting camera and video cos they both thought i never made it out.. STUFF MAN!!
i came out the barrel with such a smooth flip that was close to full roatation and ending the wave off with a role..
i hope i get a wave like that 1 in a contest haha...
im going on another surf trip on sunday and im hoping to score :)

wedge classic and the shark island challenge!!

well all i can say is that the wedge classic didnt go to bad for me,i got a 2nd in juniors and a 9th in pro..
th waves werent realy doing its part it was like biggest 3ft..
but yea it was still loads of fun.. and atleast i had a gud time..
thats what bodyboarding all about having a good time..
but yea the winners are

and now on to the shark island event..
we have our very own jared houston entering it so i wish him the best of luck even though he most prob wont need it.. but ya heres a pic of jared ..

plett wedge =)

all i can say is well done to andrew raath! he has made the finals for juniors in the plett wedge competition. =)

his competition for this final is, adam waites, storm preswitch and dont know the other guys name =)
i have a feeling that andrew is guna come home with a 1st place! holding thumbs !!! =)

andrew has also entered pro! for his quarter finals he has quite a tough heat.

wedge classic 2009

th wedge classic 2009 is ganna be happening this week and im leaving early tomorrow morning with ruan de bruin and daniel worsly,we ganna stop along the way and hopefully get some surfs in!
well sadly even if i win the wedge classic its impossible for me 2 win SABA..
aden kleve and bradly moys are the only people that can still win it..but luckily for aden,bradleys busy getting some indo barrels with terence peiters..
but im pretty keen to win this 1 so im ganna put my mind to it and hopefully susceed..
the divisions im entering is junoirs and pro..i want to get somewhere in both !!
also sadly jason fowler isnt going up wish sucks because i wouldv put my down on him to win!
also would like to thank science and reef for the equipment im using :)
ill update in a few days time with whats ben going down :)

yes i have a few things to say!!!!!!!!!

firstly todAY is 2nd july 2009.. exactly a year ago my bodyboarding friend chris "chrizzle" elliot past away ...
last year this time we were all in very big shock thankfully we have healed a bit..but chrizzle man hope u resting in peace....

secondly,2 of my very close friends are doing the "shark island challenge trials"to make it to the main event of the shark island challenge..my friends that are jarret "pik" johnson and simon "big red" heale.
these to dominate it in the water and are the most kief guys you will ever meet in your life time..

well all i can say is yum yum yum..
i have been getting such goooooooood waves this last week with jason.. not all the time togethere though but we both were getting our fair share of barrel/rampz...
friday we had sum unexposed reef ..that no 1 would expect to actualy be good ..realy good...
jason got a croc by bigger set though haha
well i didnt surf the weekend because i was partying ;)
but jaSon got some good beach break ..where we both went surfing at on monday and all left with smiles on our face..
on tuesday me ruan chris w,jean hoffmon, and eugene meyer made a lil mission up our beautiful west coast to a undisclosed reef..
when we got there we ran out cos we saw a very nice set come through but we got boned hard cos it was 1 good set evry half hour so we didnt bother and went back to another good beach break that we had our fair share of lefts that we wanted for practice for the plett wedge...
im happy but now i have to sacrifise my self to my mom for all the money she has givin me...
