cape classic day 1

so i arrived back in the mother city on tuesday and never been more happy,wednesday terence pieters and 2 other south coast groms arrived and thursday michael "ratt"ostler and jake rosenberg arrived.friday we hit a surf at koel bay with some fun 3-5ft wedges ben had..

so the cape classic was held at koel bay today and the waves were pretty fun 3-4ft wedges.
some insane riding was shown in the pro division and junior divsion.triston roberts owned boys and rid like a pro..
anyways i was seaded in to pro quaters and junior qauters in my junior quaterand i got a 2nd to josh austen and in 3rd was james adams and bas koopmans in 4th..
in fowlers heat he got a 1st with storm prestwich 2nd ,aiden wilson 3rd and jason selby 4th..
and now me and him meet up in the semi with stephan du preez and corban warrington..
in my pro quater i have charles pass,warren van der merwe and storm prestwich ,the contest should be held on monday and we will upload some photos from the event soon!

So me (Jason Fowler) and sum mates have been surfing hoek lately and got it pretty good the first time, like 5 feet maybe some 6 feet ones. . getting big pits :) but i never got any photos of that time but i have got of our second session which was small but fun. These photos were taken when the waves started getting crap. . .my mom took these photos :)

JARED HOUSTON and the CAPE CLASSIC and the start of WP TRIALS 2010

i andrew raath am pease to say that 1 of my close friends has prooved to the world what the saffa's have known for a good couple of years and the austrlians have realised in the past couple of months.
that JARED HOUSTON is in fact 1 of the most talented bodyboarders in the world..
he has made us proud and made his way into the pipeline pro 2010's final and coming in 3rd place against the guys he grew up watching on dvd's.(he has also just got a double page spread in the lastest rip tide). sacha specker a person that has supported and pushed me in my bodyboarding since i was 12 also did well in the dk dicison grabbing a 5th placing.i actually think that he mustv had an off day becAUse in my eyes he is the best dk rider in the world and over all rider when it comes to prone riding dk riding and stand up surfing(in stand uo surfing he will kill most ou's that reckon they really good).
amazing that south africans actually are world standard..2010 is our country's year!

WP TRIALS 2010:

Also me ,jason and the rest of wp have started with our trials.
me and jason also tied for 1st place and jason did the best invert i have ever seen him do and got a perfect 10 across the boards with judges.
so this year is ganna be looking difficult for me and jason in the same division!
our 2nd trial is in april and get hold of deon meyer if u keen on entering or go here.


CAPE CLASSIC 2010:

So this years cape classic will be taking place on the weekend of the 20 - 22nd march.
if u keen on entering go here ..
just remember that evry competition brings u expereince and you always learn something even if u loose, exspecially when u loose, because u know what u must do next time..
and dont enter cos u think its a waist if money cos its always a jol chilling with kief people and watching some insane riding from our country's top bodyboarders..
even iba tour campaighner marck mccarthy is coming down for the contest as so iv heard
..
and also its always at the place wiht the besrt waves cos its a roaming venue..
